Mercedes Radar Auto (non)-Brake System?

If you want to see an amusing tech product demo, you should see Mercedes radar guided automatic braking system. They demoed it to journalists from BBC's Top Gear on a foggy day. The car ran on down the road towards a large object, completely failed to see it until far too late, and smashed into the side! Can't find the video anymore, though.....maybe they're too embarrassed!
